A reflection on the aesthetics of resistance and representational paintings in modern Arab art; Paradise Series is part of an on-going research Chicken Scribbles and the Dove that looks like a Frog, that looks at the history of Modern Arab art in tangent with political events in the Arab world, to understand the shifts and ruptures in this art-historical trajectory on the one hand, and how they influence memory, narratives and the imagination on the other.
